When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Terrell Strong took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ali Thomson to make any attempt to save it. Ali Thomson made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Laurence Hatcher sent off a good shot on target. Ervin Kane's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The audience thought a goal was coming when Terrell Strong got free with Ali Thomson in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alonzo Evangelista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ned Turner in the 23rd minute of the match. Donovan´s Paradise's Alonzo Evangelista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lincoln Herndon in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Ned Turner notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Donovan´s Paradise's Alonzo Evangelista. Alonzo Evangelista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alonzo Evangelista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Bolton, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 35 played minutes Menlo got a freekick which was hit by Ned Turner. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Laurence Hatcher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ali Thomson. Menlo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Donovan´s Paradise fully deserved thier win.
