In the 6th minute Giovanni Bachman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Shipley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jesus Donaldson fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTER FC's protests and gave Jesus Donaldson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, INTER FC's Jesus Donaldson got a free kick in the 9th minute. Omar Farley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedric Abbott having to interfere. With a little luck, MARBLE SYSTEMS's Bob Shipley got control of the ball when Jesus Donaldson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovanni Bachman got free with Bob Shipley in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Farley in the 16th minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Cedric Abbott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Raymond Ruiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zachariah Fitzpatrick hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Bob Shipley acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Quincy Maher. After 21 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Mark Monroe. In the 23rd minute Bernardo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedric Abbott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cedric Abbott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Ruiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Bachman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Bonds in the 29th minute of play forced MARBLE SYSTEMS's goalkeeper Bob Shipley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bob Shipley made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Jesus Donaldson sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the game, Tony Bonds recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bob Shipley. Tony Bonds showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to MARBLE SYSTEMS getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Elvis Negron hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Zachariah Fitzpatrick put in a rough tackle. The referee gave INTER FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Quincy Maher, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MARBLE SYSTEMS's Bob Shipley. 2-0. Bob Shipley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Donaldson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Bob Shipley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Bachman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Giovanni Bachman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Shipley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raymond Ruiz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. MARBLE SYSTEMS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 66 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Cedric Abbott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Farley. After 67 minutes, Michael Harrington mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER FC and the MARBLE SYSTEMS players grew even worse after the yellow card. MARBLE SYSTEMS's Art Gale was substituted for Tony Bailey. In the 76th minute, Jesus Donaldson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, MARBLE SYSTEMS's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Donaldson came free, but Bob Shipley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Cedric Abbott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Farley. Cedric Abbott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Farley in the 94th minute of play. Cedric Abbott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Ruiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovanni Bachman in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bob Shipley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The INTER FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while MARBLE SYSTEMS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
