Georgia State's Roosevelt Riggs got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Parker Baron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shelton Brower got free with Tanner Fish in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tanner Fish came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Georgia State's Shelton Brower. But to his dismay, Shelton Brower quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tanner Fish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roosevelt Riggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Lewes's Tanner Fish got control of the ball when Shelton Brower tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shelton Brower came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tanner Fish could save by the left post. The Georgia State supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Georgia State would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
