In the 4th minute, Donovan´s Paradise's Danny Fowler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Owen Baker. Owen Baker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Dave Drake got in the 8th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Owen Baker and thus it was 2-0. After 10 played minutes Miami Gators got a freekick which was hit by Bart Cartwright. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milo Winn in the 19th minute of play forced Donovan´s Paradise's goalkeeper Alonzo Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Squires charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Squires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 minutes Miami Gators's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dave Drake who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Laurence Hatcher almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Miami Gators's Owen Baker did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raphael Beltran during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Miami Gators! The goalkeeper, Owen Baker, was totally fooled by Donovan´s Paradise's Dave Drake, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ervin Kane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Owen Baker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Ervin Kane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donovan´s Paradise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ervin Kane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alonzo Evangelista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milo Winn in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danny Fowler was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Donovan´s Paradise booed when Miami Gators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Cartwright didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Donovan´s Paradise got a corner. Miami Gators's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dave Drake ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dave Drake made a great header on Donovan´s Paradise's corner, it was just that Miami Gators's Owen Baker managed to reach the ball for a save. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Miami Gators! Owen Baker went to the wrong direction when Dave Drake was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Danny Fowler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes, Garry Glover mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donovan´s Paradise and the Miami Gators players grew even worse after the yellow card. Garry Glover kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Miami Gators's Merrill Justice got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Miami Gators booed when Donovan´s Paradise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Crabtree didn't get a good kick on the ball.
