Spectators: 7980 (Terracing: 5986, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oren Gorman started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Jacob Knapp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miami Gators's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Knapp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glen Sadler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the game, Miami Gators's Milo Winn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glen Sadler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Glen Sadler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merrill Justice, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Miami Gators's Owen Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamar Shaw in the 18th minute of play. Glen Sadler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milo Winn in the 22nd minute. If Milo Winn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merrill Justice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Oren Gorman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kenner's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miami Gators the free kick. Merrill Justice struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Glen Sadler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miami Gators. Merrill Justice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glen Sadler having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kenner's zone, Jacob Knapp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glen Sadler came out of the goal and Jacob Knapp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 55 played minutes Kenner got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Trimble. Emilio Chin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Kenner:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Miami Gators:s goal. The referee gave Miami Gators a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Milo Winn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kenner's Glen Sadler. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Merrill Justice in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glen Sadler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristobal Root had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merrill Justice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Glen Sadler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Milo Winn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glen Sadler was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 81 played minutes Miami Gators got a freekick which was hit by Markus Harding. When Bart Cartwright fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miami Gators's protests and gave Bart Cartwright a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Miami Gators getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Bart Cartwright hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Bradley Trimble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glen Sadler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milo Winn, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Kenner's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Miami Gators had played much better football throughout.
