An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Chamberlain in the 9th minute of play forced Miami Gators's goalkeeper Owen Baker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Gustavo Chamberlain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Kermit Duff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Baker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Santa Rita FC's Zachery Lincoln got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to Santa Rita FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Korey Wang hit a great ball. Milo Winn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Wade Downey made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Miami Gators's Merrill Justice ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wade Downey. Wade Downey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Gustavo Chamberlain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Craig Akins fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Rita FC's protests and gave Craig Akins a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Santa Rita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig Akins to maneuver through the defense. Wade Downey came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Miami Gators's Milo Winn. But to his dismay, Milo Winn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Korey Wang hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Gustavo Chamberlain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Baker was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milo Winn got free with Wade Downey in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Santa Rita FC's Craig Akins got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Merrill Justice made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Gustavo Chamberlain put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Owen Baker. Miami Gators's Owen Baker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Miami Gators from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Chamberlain might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Owen Baker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Chamberlain ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Chamberlain struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Owen Baker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Rita FC. Santa Rita FC made a substitution. Tyrell Snider replaced Del Acero. After a defensive mix-up in Miami Gators's zone, Korey Wang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Owen Baker came out of the goal and Korey Wang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Chamberlain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Owen Baker made a huge save. Gustavo Chamberlain scored 3-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Owen Baker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
