Gerry Ivey's late challenge caught a Donovan´s Paradise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerry Ivey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Donovan´s Paradise booed when WPB Gators FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerry Ivey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyrus Friedman came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alonzo Evangelista could save by the left post. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind WPB Gators FC's goalkeeper Connor Rushing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Denny Tackett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donovan´s Paradise's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WPB Gators FC the free kick. WPB Gators FC's Garrett Romero was substituted for Walter Sweeney. A hard shot by Allen Beltran from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Alonzo Evangelista's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With his leg Alonzo Evangelista managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when WPB Gators FC's Cyrus Friedman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Donovan´s Paradise's Alonzo Evangelista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Donovan´s Paradise from getting a goal against them.

Denny Tackett scored 0-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Connor Rushing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alonzo Evangelista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrus Friedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denny Tackett in the 66th minute of play forced WPB Gators FC's goalkeeper Connor Rushing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cyrus Friedman came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the WPB Gators FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyrus Friedman couldn't finish the play. Denny Tackett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Connor Rushing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Richie Pearce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyrus Friedman in the 88th minute of play forced Donovan´s Paradise's goalkeeper Alonzo Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Connor Rushing didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Drake went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Denny Tackett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Donovan´s Paradise players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
