Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oren Gorman started the match with the kick off. If Merrill Justice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merrill Justice in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glen Sadler saved Kenner from getting behind. Merrill Justice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Miami Gators's Owen Baker got control of the ball when Oren Gorman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramiro Workman hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Milo Winn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oren Gorman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Owen Baker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kenner! The referee gave Miami Gators a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Milo Winn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kenner's Glen Sadler. 0-1. In the 43rd match minute, Kenner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Jarrett to maneuver through the defense. Kenner's Glen Sadler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merrill Justice in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merrill Justice was the one to do the kick off. When Milo Winn came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Miami Gators fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milo Winn couldn't finish the play. After 56 played minutes Kenner got a freekick which was hit by Ted Jarrett. Merrill Justice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glen Sadler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merrill Justice, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Merrill Justice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Glen Sadler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merrill Justice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glen Sadler made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Milo Winn sent off a good shot on target. Milo Winn in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Glen Sadler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thaddeus Kessler's late challenge caught a Miami Gators's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thaddeus Kessler helped the player get up and apologised. Kenner's Jamar Shaw suffered a concussion after 86 minutes and had to leave the field. 86 minutes into the game, Markus Harding was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miami Gators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kenner the free kick. After a rather tough play, Miami Gators's Markus Harding got a free kick in the 86th minute. Lanny Melton hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Merrill Justice ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glen Sadler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.
