Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Walter Hawley took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Otto Cagle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marshall Stoner in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thad Avery saved Anson AFC from getting behind. After 7 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Chung. Thad Avery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Stoner in the 7th minute of play. In the 14th minute Anson AFC were awarded a corner. Aurelio McNair went to the cornerflag to take it. Austin Dickens's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Duane Carbajal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Duane Carbajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcellus Paris in the 19th minute of play. Otto Cagle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Duane Carbajal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heriberto Alston hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Duane Carbajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Dickens in the 22nd minute of the match. Otto Cagle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duane Carbajal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Duane Carbajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Cagle in the 29th minute of play. Duane Carbajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcellus Paris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Anson AFC's Ed Chung got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Walter Hawley came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Sawgrass fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Hawley couldn't finish the play. Marshall Stoner scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thad Avery, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Otto Cagle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Duane Carbajal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Austin Dickens in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otto Cagle made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sawgrass's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Dickens came free, but Duane Carbajal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sawgrass's Duane Carbajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Cagle in the 54th minute of play. Walter Hawley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thad Avery having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Anson AFC's Otto Cagle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duane Carbajal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Sawgrass's Heriberto Alston got a free kick in the 64th minute. Anson AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Marshall Stoner scored to the left of an out of position Thad Avery, making the score, 1-3. Walter Hawleys short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Thad Avery to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcellus Paris in the 86th minute of play forced Sawgrass's goalkeeper Duane Carbajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marshall Stoner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshall Stoner in the 90th minute of play forced Anson AFC's goalkeeper Thad Avery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thad Avery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Stoner in the 93rd minute of the match. Marshall Stoner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thad Avery having to interfere. When the match was over Sawgrass could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anson AFC throughout the match.
