He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Whitney Swift. The audience thought a goal was coming when Russ Meeks got free with Whitney Swift in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ingram getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Blake Sousa hit a great ball. Bryce Witherspoon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocco Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Christian Kruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Logan Barajas in the 27th minute of play forced Ingram's goalkeeper Bryce Witherspoon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Logan Barajas was the one to do the kick off. Whitney Swift showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Bryce Witherspoon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocco Berg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ingram's zone, Logan Barajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryce Witherspoon came out of the goal and Logan Barajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rocco Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Whitney Swift took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodger Alvaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Hartford FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ingram had won, even though John Hartford FC had held more of the ball.
