When Darnell Hoover fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anson AFC's protests and gave Darnell Hoover a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Anson AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Darnell Hoover hit a great ball. Claude Lay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thad Avery having to interfere. Miami Springs's Tomas Burgess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Dickens in the 26th minute of play. The Miami Springs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Anson AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Pate was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Miami Springs's Tomas Burgess got control of the ball when Austin Dickens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thad Avery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Lay, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Simon Pate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anson AFC's Thad Avery was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Miami Springs's goal looked a bit too open when Marcellus Paris came free, but Tomas Burgess reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match, Austin Dickens got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tomas Burgess was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
