The supporters of Sturtevant AFC booed when Anson AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Austin Dickens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anson AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Anson AFC's Austin Dickens pulled a muscle in his leg after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Troy Harvey's late challenge caught a Anson AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Troy Harvey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Troy Harvey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 12 minutes, Aurelio McNair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anson AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio McNair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Henry Bowser notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Anson AFC's Thad Avery. Thad Avery was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th match minute, Anson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Morin to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Enoch Norwood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anson AFC and the Sturtevant AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Enoch Norwood. Anson AFC's Thad Avery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Bowser in the 23rd minute of play. Henry Bowser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Ed Chung cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Felipe Vang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felipe Vang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Cagle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Vang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcellus Paris, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Anson AFC's Ed Chung got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Bowser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Thad Avery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Vang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Cagle in the 45th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Bowser got free with Thad Avery in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otto Cagle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Henry Bowser cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Thad Avery was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henry Bowser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thad Avery having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Sturtevant AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Cagle came free, but Felipe Vang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Chung. In the 66th minute, Henry Bowser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thad Avery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Bowser's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Otto Cagle kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Wilton Mullen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sturtevant AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Mullen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Bowser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Chung. When Sturtevant AFC's Henry Bowser in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anson AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 84 minutes into the game, Ed Chung recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Felipe Vang. Ed Chung showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. In the 92nd minute, Otto Cagle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute, Otto Cagle fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Cagle in the 94th minute of play forced Sturtevant AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Vang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
