Cliff Herrington charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cliff Herrington the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Ingram was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Herrington to maneuver through the defense. Wilton Mullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodger Alvaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Felipe Vang made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Russ Meeks in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Vang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roscoe Villegas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Russ Meeks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Vang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Louis Dawkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Vang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronny Trimble hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Ingram's Bryce Witherspoon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Bowser in the 48th minute of play. After 75 played minutes, Ingram's Blake Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Vang came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ingram reached it. In the 81st minute, Rodger Alvaro made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Vang. Sturtevant AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Felipe Vang was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ingram fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sturtevant AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
