Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Otto Cagle started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sydney Cowan struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Thad Avery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Downriver AFC. Ian Tompkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Thad Avery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Enoch Norwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcellus Paris charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcellus Paris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcellus Paris. Otto Cagle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ivan Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austin Dickens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Austin Dickens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Higgins. Downriver AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Austin Dickens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sydney Cowan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Anson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Cowan came free, but Thad Avery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Sydney Cowan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thad Avery was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Domenico Arden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney Cowan took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thad Avery. Thad Avery dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Sydney Cowan put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Thad Avery. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Cowan was the one to do the kick off. When Oscar Tomlinson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Downriver AFC's protests and gave Oscar Tomlinson a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Tomlinson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Otto Cagle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Domenico Arden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Downriver AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenico Arden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thad Avery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Higgins came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Anson AFC's Otto Cagle. But to his dismay, Otto Cagle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Austin Dickens struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Ivan Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anson AFC. If Austin Dickens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charlton Whitney kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Sydney Cowan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-4 to the left of a surprised Thad Avery 87 minutes into the match. Sydney Cowan kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Marcellus Paris got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 93rd match minute, Anson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcellus Paris to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sydney Cowan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Downriver AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Cowan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thad Avery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Downriver AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
