Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeff Peterson kicked off to start the match. Werner Blevins hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Jeff Peterson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Tomas Burgess made a huge save. 6 minutes into the game, Noah Shea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tomas Burgess was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Colby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Lay in the 12th minute of the match. Juan Colby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Lay in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Jarod Swenson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomas Burgess. Jarod Swenson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Long Is Land FC were furious when Marcos Hardin was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Juan Colby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Lay, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Claude Lay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Colby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Long Is Land FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Lay came free, but Juan Colby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Colby came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Miami Springs's Claude Lay. But to his dismay, Claude Lay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 38th match minute, Miami Springs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanton Bachman to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noah Shea got free with Tomas Burgess in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 54th match minute, Long Is Land FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Peterson to maneuver through the defense. Claude Lay came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juan Colby could save by the left post. Juan Colby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claude Lay in the 63rd minute. Noah Shea struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tomas Burgess didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Long Is Land FC. With a little luck, Long Is Land FC's Juan Colby got control of the ball when Claude Lay tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claude Lay got free with Juan Colby in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Miami Springs's Luis Burke got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Cortes in the 82nd minute of play forced Miami Springs's goalkeeper Tomas Burgess to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nick Cortes during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Nick Cortes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hank Harden made in the 94th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Werner Blevins however managed to control. The Long Is Land FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
