In the 13th minute, Hayden Kitchen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leaders FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Takis Oikonomopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Hufnagel in the 22nd minute of play. If Gregg Estes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Leaders FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hayden Kitchen made a kick off. In the 63rd minute, Leaders FC's Hayden Kitchen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Peter Hufnagel came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Takis Oikonomopoulos could save by the left post. Messi Daily Racing Form's Takis Oikonomopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayden Kitchen in the 71st minute of play. Jorge Gifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Messi Daily Racing Form's Jorge Gifford got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Jefferson Collins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Takis Oikonomopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayden Kitchen in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96thth minute of the game Peter Hufnagel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Messi Daily Racing Form's Takis Oikonomopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Messi Daily Racing Form supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Leaders FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Leaders FC.
