The referee ignored Deportivo Rodriguez's protests and gave Pedro Azulay a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Rodriguez's Lonnie Hurley threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gualterio Aguirre, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute Korey Reed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Aguirre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Hurley having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
