After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Waldo Renteria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascade Park West's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldo Renteria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Andreasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldo Renteria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gunnar Andreasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 81 minutes Wigan Athletic FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zoilo Doblas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Claude Joyner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wigan Athletic FC's Gunnar Andreasson did a great save. When the final whistle went the supporters of Cascade Park West were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Wigan Athletic FC side.
