With a little luck, Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley got control of the ball when Valentim Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Rodriguez's Valentim Leão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lonnie Hurley. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Georges Collard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Key Biscayne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Georges Collard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Hawk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Hogue hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Ali Hogue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Perfumo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Hawk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dustin Burton in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Deportivo Rodriguez's Marcelo-Luis Butcher ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lonnie Hurley. Lonnie Hurley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With his leg Lonnie Hurley managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Deportivo Rodriguez's Valentim Leão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valentim Leão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Lonnie Hurley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aldo Hawk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges Collard, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Georges Collard hit a great ball. Marcelo-Luis Butcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Hurley having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiley Boyle got free with Lonnie Hurley in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the game, Primus Listiyantoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Key Biscayne FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Rodriguez the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Key Biscayne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primus Listiyantoro to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Valentim Leão notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley. Lonnie Hurley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentim Leão to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mulky Kuswandi during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 52 minutes into the game, Deportivo Rodriguez's Gualterio Aguirre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lonnie Hurley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 55th minute Marcelo-Luis Butcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lonnie Hurley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Wiley Boyle hit a great ball. Willie Staton's late challenge caught a Key Biscayne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willie Staton helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Willie Staton hit a great ball. Key Biscayne FC's Clayton Castillo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aldo Hawk but with some difficulty. Lonnie Hurley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Aguirre in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dustin Burton in the 79th minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Aldo Hawk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torcato Brito to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualterio Aguirre in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lonnie Hurley saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Rodriguez's zone, Georges Collard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Hawk came out of the goal and Georges Collard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Aguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Rodriguez had played much better football throughout.
