Blue Rock F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shayne Cagle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Baker got free with Boyd Donnelly in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boyd Donnelly didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Blue Rock F.C.'s Fletcher Pritchett shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shayne Cagle in the 29th minute of play forced Blue Rock F.C.'s goalkeeper Richard Silver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josh Kemp in the 40th minute of play forced Waterbury Rangers's goalkeeper Boyd Donnelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolf Baker charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudolf Baker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rudolf Baker hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Blue Rock F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Shayne Cagle came free, but Richard Silver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Waterbury Rangers made a substitution. Truman Haines replaced Werner Comer. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fletcher Pritchett to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Rodolfo Cordero took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Richard Silver to make any attempt to save it. Boyd Donnelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Baker, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Waterbury Rangers's Shayne Cagle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Silver made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Waterbury Rangers had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
