Spectators: 8417 (Terracing: 6313, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 168) Kal - El's Verner Johnsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Verner Johnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mervin Lehman was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5th minute Kal - El were awarded a corner. Verner Johnsson went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Verner Johnsson in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mervin Lehman saved Woods Cross from getting behind. In the 8th minute, Verner Johnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mervin Lehman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 10 played minutes Woods Cross got a freekick which was hit by Tyrese Cuevas. When Kal - El's Verner Johnsson in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Woods Cross's Mervin Lehman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Woods Cross's zone, Verner Johnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mervin Lehman came out of the goal and Verner Johnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mervin Lehman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verner Johnsson went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Verner Johnsson sped through Woods Cross's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mervin Lehman. After 34th play minutes Verner Johnsson shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Mervin Lehman and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Verner Johnsson in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mervin Lehman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Verner Johnsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mervin Lehman. Woods Cross's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Verner Johnsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. In the 44th minute of the match Benjamin Šeško sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mervin Lehman skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-9 lead.

In the 52nd match minute, Woods Cross was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlton Thurston to maneuver through the defense. Mervin Lehman stood somewhat misplaced when Verner Johnsson came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 56 minute. If Verner Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verner Johnsson in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mervin Lehman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 64 minutes into the game, Kal - El's Vito Rosas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mervin Lehman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. Verner Johnsson took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mervin Lehman. Mervin Lehman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12. The crowd rose to their feet as Robbie Shea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mervin Lehman. That made the score 0-13 in the 71 minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Verner Johnsson lined in a short shot 0-14 behind a frustrated Mervin Lehman. Verner Johnsson had several of the Woods Cross's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-15 score and a disappointed Mervin Lehman as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 86th minute, Verner Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kal - El fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-16. Mervin Lehman made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Verner Johnsson sent off a good shot on target. Verner Johnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mervin Lehman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Verner Johnsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Verner Johnsson took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mervin Lehman. Mervin Lehman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-17. Kal - El played a much better game than Woods Cross and deserved their victory. The Woods Cross players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
