The supporters of Ditalent.F.C. booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donovan Heath hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Donovan Heath. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk McQueen, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Romero in the 19th minute of play forced Ditalent.F.C.'s goalkeeper Haimon Moraitopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Harvey Flynn got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Haimon Moraitopoulos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dirk McQueen struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jarrett Rosenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ditalent.F.C.. 23 minutes into the match, Nicky Cavazos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haimon Moraitopoulos. Ditalent.F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicky Cavazos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Nicky Cavazos took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haimon Moraitopoulos. Haimon Moraitopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Ditalent.F.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Andrew Bliss hit a great ball. Haimon Moraitopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Patrick Fontenot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Fontenot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haimon Moraitopoulos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicky Cavazos went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Dirk McQueen might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarrett Rosenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dirk McQueen ran back to his position shaking his head. Dirk McQueen scored 1-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Shawn Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shawn Romero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Nicky Cavazos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
