Haimon Moraitopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos Soccer Club. Sid Kline could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Haimon Moraitopoulos made a huge save. Cosmos Soccer Club's Dan Gheară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk McQueen in the 6th minute of play. Sid Kline recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deng Zheng Ke in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Gheară prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Cosmos Soccer Club's Haimon Moraitopoulos threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emanuel Novak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ditalent.F.C.'s goalkeeper Haimon Moraitopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos Soccer Club's zone, Dudley Puckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Gheară came out of the goal and Dudley Puckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emanuel Novak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deng Zheng Ke scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Gheară, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Novak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haimon Moraitopoulos was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Emanuel Novak got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deng Zheng Ke made a kick off. Cosmos Soccer Club's Waldo Bean quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antonio Platt, made in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 53rd minute, one of Cosmos Soccer Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cosmos Soccer Club. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Ditalent.F.C.'s Dave Zamora got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dan Gheară. Emanuel Novak might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haimon Moraitopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Novak ran back to his position shaking his head. Ditalent.F.C.'s Dave Zamora shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dan Gheară but with some difficulty. In the 68th minute, Dirk McQueen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Emanuel Novak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Novak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haimon Moraitopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haimon Moraitopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Kline, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Deng Zheng Ke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ditalent.F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 84th minute Sid Kline shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haimon Moraitopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Cosmos Soccer Club got a corner. Ditalent.F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josh Farris ran over to the corner to take the kick. 87 minutes into the match, Ditalent.F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Josh Farris came free, but Haimon Moraitopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dirk McQueen charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirk McQueen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Ditalent.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk McQueen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Sid Kline managed to get in a good position for a shot.
