Spectators: 8465 (Terracing: 6350, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 169) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gavin Joyce got the match started through his kick off. Tad Duff was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Jiang Ao Yu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jiang Ao Yu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 9th play minutes Kory Leal shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Tad Duff and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Elkhorn's zone, Jiang Ao Yu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tad Duff came out of the goal and Jiang Ao Yu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joey Bishop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tad Duff having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Jiang Ao Yu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Delmont and the Elkhorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Delmont was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Ao Yu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Kory Leal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tad Duff. That made the score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. Tad Duff came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Delmont's Jiang Ao Yu. But to his dismay, Jiang Ao Yu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Geoff Plummer kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Mervin Ellison kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Elkhorn booed when Delmont was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Bishop didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kory Leal was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kory Leal in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tad Duff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tad Duff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Cuevas in the 59th minute of the match. Gavin Joyce charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gavin Joyce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gavin Joyce hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Delmont's Kory Leal fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Kory Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delmont fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After 74 played minutes Delmont got a freekick which was hit by Joey Bishop. In a very dangerous position, a player in Elkhorn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Delmont a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kory Leal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Elkhorn's Tad Duff. 7-0. Allen Bellamy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 95th match minute, Elkhorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mervin Ellison to maneuver through the defense. Delmont walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
