The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, West Oahu Wave Riders's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Krueger came free, but Andre Moses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Krueger hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Shawn Hood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurence Sandoval was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute, Fabian Frank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When West Oahu Wave Riders's Thaddeus Simon in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hazardous Hornets's goalie prevented a goal. Johnny Carrasco in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Johnny Carrasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Andre Moses when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Thaddeus Simon made a precise shot to the right of Laurence Sandoval. Hazardous Hornets's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Thaddeus Simon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurence Sandoval having to interfere. West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Carrasco in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Fabian Frank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Laurence Sandoval was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, West Oahu Wave Riders's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Krueger came free, but Andre Moses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Frank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Laurence Sandoval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses got control of the ball when Johnny Carrasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurence Sandoval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Frank in the 47th minute of play. After the first half West Oahu Wave Riders were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johnny Carrasco was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Hazardous Hornets booed when West Oahu Wave Riders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thaddeus Simon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 played minutes West Oahu Wave Riders got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Frank. In the 57th minute of the game, Thaddeus Simon landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After having played for 62 minutes, Fabian Frank managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Oahu Wave Riders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Frank was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fabian Frank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Hazardous Hornets got a freekick which was hit by Jamar Herring. Shawn Hood hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hazardous Hornets's Gabriel Holloway got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Fabian Frank fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. West Oahu Wave Riders's Shawn Hood pulled a muscle in his back after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Clinton Morin hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Johnny Carrasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andre Moses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Carrasco in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. West Oahu Wave Riders walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
