Hector Solis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Moses having to interfere. Casey Langley kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, South Charleston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Frank came free, but Truman Hinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save West Oahu Wave Riders from getting a goal against them. Andre Moses was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Jefferson Norton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jefferson Norton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 22 played minutes South Charleston FC got a freekick which was hit by Scott McCullough. Andre Moses took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilber Kyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Hector Solis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Moses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, West Oahu Wave Riders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graham Cummings to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of South Charleston FC booed when West Oahu Wave Riders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Bridges didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Hector Solis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Andre Moses to make any attempt to save it. Wilber Kyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, West Oahu Wave Riders's goalkeeper Andre Moses had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jefferson Norton. A collision led to South Charleston FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rene Haley hit a great ball. After some careless play in the South Charleston FC defense, Fabian Frank kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Truman Hinson. The South Charleston FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Truman Hinson should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Frank was the one to do the kick off. Shawn Hood hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match South Charleston FC got a corner. West Oahu Wave Riders's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilber Kyle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mitch Hart kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of South Charleston FC booed when West Oahu Wave Riders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Waddell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65thth minute of the game Fabian Frank who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but South Charleston FC's Truman Hinson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jefferson Norton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Solis in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Moses prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Truman Hinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Frank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Shawn Hood fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Truman Hinson, passed just outside the right post. Fabian Frank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th match minute, South Charleston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daron Amos to maneuver through the defense. Wilber Kyle took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andre Moses. Andre Moses dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 90 minutes into the match, South Charleston FC's goalkeeper Truman Hinson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thaddeus Simon. In the 91st minute, Fabian Frank left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West Oahu Wave Riders fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
