Spectators: 8522 (Terracing: 6392, Seating: 1960, VIP seats: 170) South Charleston FC's Jefferson Norton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hector Solis took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berart Baiges. Berart Baiges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Danial Salter might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Truman Hinson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danial Salter ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toby Ruiz in the 9th minute of play forced South Charleston FC's goalkeeper Truman Hinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to South Charleston FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hugh Park hit a great ball. Truman Hinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danial Salter in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danial Salter in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Truman Hinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilber Kyle got in the 19th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Berart Baiges handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Wilber Kyle put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Berart Baiges. Truman Hinson came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Lake Wales FC's Danial Salter. But to his dismay, Danial Salter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 37 minutes into the match, Roland Davenport notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of South Charleston FC's Truman Hinson. Truman Hinson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lake Wales FC's Berart Baiges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Lake Wales FC from getting a goal against them. South Charleston FC's Truman Hinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toby Ruiz in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Toby Ruiz made the kick off in the second half. Toby Ruiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Truman Hinson made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, South Charleston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danial Salter came free, but Truman Hinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Lake Wales FC's Garth Wray to fire away a dangerous shot which Truman Hinson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Truman Hinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarvis Whitney in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, South Charleston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarvis Whitney came free, but Truman Hinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toby Ruiz kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Jefferson Norton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berart Baiges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. When Stacy Kitchen came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lake Wales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stacy Kitchen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilber Kyle in the 91st minute of play forced Lake Wales FC's goalkeeper Berart Baiges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lake Wales FC's Berart Baiges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilber Kyle in the 92nd minute of play. When Danial Salter came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Lake Wales FC fans jumped to their feet.
