West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Preston Wesley in the 30th minute of play. Thaddeus Simon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Sotil having to interfere. Victor Sotil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Frank, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. West Oahu Wave Riders's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabian Wills in the 37th minute. Victor Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Dickinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Preston Wesley kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Frank was the one to do the kick off. If Thaddeus Simon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes, Anthony Dickinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Oahu Wave Riders and the MERKEL IS BEST players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, West Oahu Wave Riders's Anthony Dickinson got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes, Joaquin Sorensen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MERKEL IS BEST and the West Oahu Wave Riders players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MERKEL IS BEST getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Thaddeus Simon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Sotil having to interfere. West Oahu Wave Riders's Shawn Hood got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Omar Cherry managed to get in a good position for a shot. MERKEL IS BEST's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Cherry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andre Moses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the West Oahu Wave Riders players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
