Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) 7 minutes into the match, Werder Bremen's goal looked a bit too open when John McCain came free, but Boyce Irwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dexter Ogden got free with Boyce Irwin in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Lazaro Ruth dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boyce Irwin, 1-0. Dexter Ogden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Boyce Irwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rueben Horn lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Houston Fire F.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rueben Horn hit a great ball. Werder Bremen's Merle Hoff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Houston Fire F.C.. John McCain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lazaro Ruth got free with Boyce Irwin in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Werder Bremen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when John McCain scored to the left of an out of position Boyce Irwin, making the score, 3-0. In the 33rd minute of the match, John McCain tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Boyce Irwin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. John McCain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Houston Fire F.C.'s attack was well implemented in the 40th minute, but when John McCain was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justin Kaufman during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Werder Bremen got a freekick which was hit by Justin Kaufman. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

If Deshawn Steiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deshawn Steiner in the 60th minute of play forced Werder Bremen's goalkeeper Boyce Irwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyce Irwin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John McCain went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the game, Houston Fire F.C.'s John McCain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boyce Irwin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Deshawn Steiner scored 7-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boyce Irwin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the match, John McCain notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Werder Bremen's Boyce Irwin. Boyce Irwin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Werder Bremen's Boyce Irwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John McCain in the 82nd minute of play. Deshawn Steiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John McCain in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boyce Irwin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st match minute, Werder Bremen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Correa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by John McCain in the 92nd minute of play forced Werder Bremen's goalkeeper Boyce Irwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Joseph Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, John McCain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boyce Irwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lazaro Ruth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boyce Irwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John McCain in the 96th minute of the match. Houston Fire F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
