Seating: 1103, VIP seats: 32) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Louis Wyatt started the match with the kick off. When Louis Wyatt came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Futabu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis Wyatt couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boyd Coats during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Phoenixsun's Boyd Coats got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 5 played minutes, Futabu's Von Terrell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chris Valle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Futabu reached it. Darin Bruner hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Phoenixsun's Chris Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Von Terrell in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, one of Futabu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dexter Post had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Eldon Olsen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dexter Post showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuck Rainey in the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Roman Boyer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chris Valle. Roman Boyer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Louis Wyatt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Chris Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Graig Randall kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Futabu's Chris Valle threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roman Boyer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Byron Church kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Chris Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Wyatt, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Phoenixsun's Armando Bustamante got a free kick in the 34th minute. Roman Boyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Chris Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Morgan Fair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futabu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morgan Fair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 49 minutes into the match, Futabu's goal looked a bit too open when Boyd Coats came free, but Dexter Post reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chuck Rainey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Byron Church fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phoenixsun's protests and gave Byron Church a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Futabu booed when Phoenixsun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Byron Church didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, Phoenixsun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Church to maneuver through the defense. Roman Boyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Chris Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Boyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Valle having to interfere. If Roman Boyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Boyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Chris Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morgan Fair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Valle having to interfere. A collision led to Phoenixsun getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Darin Bruner hit a great ball. Roman Boyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Valle having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Morgan Fair notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Phoenixsun's Chris Valle. Chris Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Phoenixsun booed when Futabu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Fair didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Domenico Meier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chris Valle. Phoenixsun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domenico Meier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Chris Valle came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Futabu's Morgan Fair. But to his dismay, Morgan Fair quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Futabu had played much better football throughout.
