The audience was convinced that Marinus Bonato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lane Moses was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. North Cape May's Lane Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Czysta in the 9th minute of play. Theo Crum kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Zachary Chowaniec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Brillion booed when North Cape May was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Crum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Brillion's Gerardo Vincent got a free kick in the 14th minute. Marian Czysta might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lane Moses. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marian Czysta ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the game, Bernie Mathis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Ojeda. Bernie Mathis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The supporters of North Cape May booed when Brillion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Homer Blanchard didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Brillion's Marcelo Ojeda got control of the ball when Theo Crum tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zachary Chowaniec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lane Moses having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Zachary Chowaniec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lane Moses. North Cape May's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zachary Chowaniec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lane Moses stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zachary Chowaniec's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Marinus Bonato came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Brillion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marinus Bonato couldn't finish the play. After 37 played minutes Brillion got a freekick which was hit by Danny Zapata. When Brillion's Marinus Bonato in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye North Cape May's goalie prevented a goal. Lane Moses stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zachary Chowaniec's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Lane Moses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marinus Bonato in the 43rd minute of play. When Brillion's Zachary Chowaniec in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye North Cape May's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Marian Czysta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brillion's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Czysta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lane Moses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Tyrell Allison ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Ojeda was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
The wind increased when Bernie Mathis made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of North Cape May booed when Brillion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Homer Blanchard didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gerardo Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Marian Czysta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Zachary Chowaniec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but North Cape May's Lane Moses was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinus Bonato in the 68th minute of play forced North Cape May's goalkeeper Lane Moses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Raymond Mullins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. North Cape May's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Gerardo Vincent scored to the left of an out of position Lane Moses, making the score, 2-4. Marian Czysta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zachary Chowaniec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lane Moses showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachary Chowaniec, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the North Cape May defense, Marian Czysta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lane Moses. The North Cape May fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lane Moses should have stopped the shot. Lane Moses took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Czysta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lane Moses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, North Cape May's goal looked a bit too open when Zachary Chowaniec came free, but Lane Moses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lane Moses made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Gerardo Vincent sent off a good shot on target. Lane Moses showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marinus Bonato, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. With his leg Lane Moses managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Brillion's Gerardo Vincent fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The North Cape May fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brillion were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
