Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Len McAllister started the match with the kick off. Rick Lane came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers. But to his dismay, Quinton Rivers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Leon Ledochowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stan Craft took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rick Lane. Rick Lane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Banfield FI's Markus Bachman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Banfield FI from getting a goal against them. After having played for 19 minutes, Len McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield FI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Len McAllister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rick Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Ledochowski in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Banfield FI were awarded a corner. Maurício Roriz went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Len McAllister got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rick Lane quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Len McAllister took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rick Lane. Rick Lane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 29th minute, Quinton Rivers made a precise shot to the right of Rick Lane. Discovery Bay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Rick Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Craft in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Discovery Bay's Quentin Urmanski got a free kick in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Corey Childers made a kick off. Markus Bachman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Childers in the 52nd minute of the match. 52 minutes in the game, Len McAllister fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rick Lane having to interfere. Leon Ledochowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rick Lane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leon Ledochowski ran back to his position shaking his head. When Elequemedo Vinambres came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Banfield FI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elequemedo Vinambres couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Banfield FI's Len McAllister slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rick Lane. That made the score 0-8 after 58 minutes of play. After 65 played minutes Discovery Bay got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Urmanski. In the game's 65th minute Banfield FI's Maurício Roriz took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Rick Lane and thus the score was 0-10. Quentin Urmanski hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Quinton Rivers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rick Lane. Discovery Bay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quinton Rivers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 0-13 when Len McAllister sped through Discovery Bay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rick Lane. Rick Lane came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield FI's Len McAllister. But to his dismay, Len McAllister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. Rick Lane was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Len McAllister showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-15 in the 85 minute of play. Rick Lane came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers. But to his dismay, Quinton Rivers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-17.
