Westville's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tuan Holloway ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Casey Rowley heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 14th match minute, Westville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Gil to maneuver through the defense. Merlin Jarrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josh Vega in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Westville got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Stjohn. Josh Vega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Merlin Jarrett made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Westville's goalkeeper Merlin Jarrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Connors. With a little luck, Westville's Merlin Jarrett got control of the ball when Tuan Holloway tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 29 played minutes Westville got a freekick which was hit by Grady Pettit. Ronny Chapman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Roland Dömötör tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grady Pettit charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grady Pettit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Grady Pettit kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Josh Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Jarrett having to interfere. Merlin Jarrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyrell Lambert in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuan Holloway during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tuan Holloway kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Josh Vega's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Merlin Jarrett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Westville's zone, Josh Vega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Jarrett came out of the goal and Josh Vega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tyrell Lambert came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyrell Lambert couldn't finish the play. Merlin Jarrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Connors in the 63rd minute of play. Reynaldo Connors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Jarrett having to interfere. Arsenal's Josh Vega got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Westville's Merlin Jarrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josh Vega in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute Josh Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Jarrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Dömötör showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Chapman, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Josh Vega notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Westville's Merlin Jarrett. Merlin Jarrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arsenal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
