An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Dunn in the 18th minute of play forced Wellford AFC's goalkeeper J.C. Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mitch Dunn came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Phyperstars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Dunn couldn't finish the play. In the 29thth minute of the game Mitch Dunn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Phyperstars FC's Tracy Landry to fire away a dangerous shot which J.C. Barker despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrod Castillo in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Phyperstars FC's Anton Moses got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the game, Tomas McGrath was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellford AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phyperstars FC the free kick. In the 36th minute, Tomas McGrath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shayne Garland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Allen Goss made a huge save. Mitch Dunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mitch Dunn in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck J.C. Barker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mitch Dunn sped through Wellford AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of J.C. Barker. After 46 played minutes Wellford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tanner Barnhart. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mitch Dunn made a kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Shayne Garland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellford AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phyperstars FC the free kick. The supporters of Phyperstars FC booed when Wellford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shayne Garland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Phyperstars FC's Mitch Dunn dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mitch Dunn got free with J.C. Barker in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Phyperstars FC's zone, Shayne Garland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allen Goss came out of the goal and Shayne Garland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas McGrath kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Allen Goss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shayne Garland, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Shayne Garland scored 1-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Allen Goss, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Phyperstars FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
