Valdosta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randall Scruggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 6 played minutes Girth FC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Mata. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allen Stover got free with Blaine Wills in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Girth FC's Allen Stover dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Timmy Cronshagen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Wills having to interfere. Randall Scruggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blaine Wills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Landis in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Allen Stover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valdosta's Blaine Wills was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Girth FC's Allen Stover got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Girth FC's Allen Stover ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Blaine Wills. Blaine Wills yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Blaine Wills showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Van Poole, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Neil Landis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Girth FC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Girth FC's Timmy Cronshagen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 41 minutes into the match, Neil Landis notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Valdosta's Blaine Wills. Blaine Wills was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Randall Scruggs was the one to do the kick off. Girth FC's Emery Couch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Scruggs in the 54th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Allen Stover mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girth FC and the Valdosta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allen Stover hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Blaine Wills didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timmy Cronshagen went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Blaine Wills showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allen Stover, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Valdosta's zone, Timmy Cronshagen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaine Wills came out of the goal and Timmy Cronshagen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Allen Stover left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Girth FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 76th minute, Lanny Ambrose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Girth FC's Timmy Cronshagen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Valdosta. In the 80th minute, Allen Stover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Valdosta's Henry McDonald got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute, Timmy Cronshagen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blaine Wills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Cronshagen in the 87th minute of the match. Girth FC's Allen Stover got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Girth FC's Emery Couch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allen Delgado in the 91st minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Girth FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
