Spectators: 8530 (Terracing: 6400, Seating: 1960, VIP seats: 170) Illinois Bluewaters's Danilo Maranhense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Şeray Gürgen's late challenge caught a Golden Hills's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şeray Gürgen helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Illinois Bluewaters got a freekick which was hit by Şeray Gürgen. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Illinois Bluewaters from getting a goal against them. Golden Hills's Egil Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 冯永宽 in the 12th minute of play. Ward Doran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ward Doran came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Golden Hills fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ward Doran couldn't finish the play. Egil Östlund came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Illinois Bluewaters's Şeray Gürgen. But to his dismay, Şeray Gürgen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Egil Östlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 冯永宽 went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the match, Ward Doran notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles. Roger Myles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 马冰傲 during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Illinois Bluewaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 马冰傲 to maneuver through the defense. When Ward Doran came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Golden Hills fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ward Doran couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Illinois Bluewaters's goalkeeper Roger Myles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ward Doran. In the 43rd minute Golden Hills were awarded a corner. Santo Sparks went to the cornerflag to take it. Golden Hills's Ryan Bellamy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roger Myles in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 44 minutes into the game, Ryan Bellamy lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Roger Myles. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ward Doran was the one to do the kick off. Roger Myles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerold Brownell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geoffrey Vasquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Illinois Bluewaters's Mar Cao got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Santo Sparks succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-2! In the 65th minute, Danilo Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, Ward Doran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Roger Myles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 69 minutes, Ward Doran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Hills's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ward Doran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ward Doran in the 76th minute of play forced Illinois Bluewaters's goalkeeper Roger Myles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 马冰傲 hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Illinois Bluewaters made a substitution. 高笑广 replaced Ward Mason. 马冰傲 kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Egil Östlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 冯永宽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roger Myles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Bellamy, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 马冰傲 got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Illinois Bluewaters getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. 马冰傲 hit a great ball. Illinois Bluewaters made a substitution. Sal Jarrell replaced Şeray Gürgen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ward Doran in the 94th minute of play forced Illinois Bluewaters's goalkeeper Roger Myles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Myles came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Hills's Geoffrey Vasquez. But to his dismay, Geoffrey Vasquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Illinois Bluewaters's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
