A nice corner shot did that Hank Blackburn got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Humberto Baptista quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Humberto Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isto Holttinen went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Humberto Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Driscoll in the 37th minute of the match. Lazaro Connor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Isto Holttinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. empanadas's Humberto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save empanadas from getting a goal against them. A collision led to empanadas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rhett Vazquez hit a great ball. Markham FC made a substitution. Bartolo Urtzi replaced Hank Blackburn. After a rather tough play, empanadas's Rhett Vazquez got a free kick in the 48th minute. Humberto Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Driscoll in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octavio Garcia to make the kick off. Markham FC's Bektaş Veli Tokuz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Markham FC from getting a goal against them. Octavio Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isto Holttinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Baptista having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Isto Holttinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Baptista was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
