Spectators: 9230 (Terracing: 6924, Seating: 2123, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ward Doran started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Markham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Bellamy came free, but Bektaş Veli Tokuz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egil Östlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wesley Driscoll in the 5th minute. In the 7th match minute, Golden Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by A.J. Cotton to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Golden Hills's Egil Östlund got control of the ball when Isto Holttinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When A.J. Cotton fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golden Hills's protests and gave A.J. Cotton a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Markham FC booed when Golden Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. A.J. Cotton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isto Holttinen got free with Egil Östlund in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 15 minutes, Ward Doran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Hills's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ward Doran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Urtzi in the 20th minute of play forced Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markham FC's Isto Holttinen got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Markham FC's Truman Villanueva got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Bellamy in the 25th minute of play forced Markham FC's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tokuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Golden Hills's A.J. Cotton got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute Isto Holttinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Markham FC were awarded a corner. Bartolo Urtzi went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bartolo Urtzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Egil Östlund quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Golden Hills's Egil Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isto Holttinen in the 38th minute of play. Golden Hills's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Wesley Driscoll scored to the left of an out of position Egil Östlund, making the score, 1-0. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Urtzi in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isto Holttinen to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Golden Hills's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartolo Urtzi who took care of the corner kick. After 55 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Truman Villanueva. Markham FC made a substitution. Terrell Zuniga replaced Orville Bowen. Truman Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Isto Holttinen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egil Östlund. Golden Hills's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isto Holttinen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 63rd minute, Bartolo Urtzi made a precise shot to the right of Egil Östlund. Golden Hills's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Egil Östlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kadim Ulaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isto Holttinen in the 75th minute of play. Markham FC's Hank Blackburn was substituted for Bartolo Urtzi. Golden Hills's Egil Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Driscoll in the 81st minute of play. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Blackburn in the 87th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Isto Holttinen came free, but Egil Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egil Östlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hank Blackburn in the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Markham FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Kadim Ulaş hit a great ball. Markham FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
