With a little luck, Tango en Miami FC's Steven Weken got control of the ball when Ward Doran tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Bellamy got free with Steven Weken in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Bazo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Steven Weken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Doran in the 26th minute of play. Steven Weken made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryan Bellamy in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ward Doran got free with Steven Weken in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarvis McLaughlin in the 32nd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
