Spectators: 9202 (Terracing: 6903, Seating: 2116, VIP seats: 183) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Isto Holttinen kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Urtzi in the 3rd minute of play forced SeaForD's goalkeeper Marc Anthonissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Anthonissen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Urtzi in the 3rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Markham FC's Marc Anthonissen threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolo Urtzi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Salvador Calcagnini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SeaForD's Marc Anthonissen got control of the ball when Wesley Driscoll tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Wesley Driscoll reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marc Anthonissen. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

SeaForD's Mason Garland was substituted for Salvador Calcagnini. After 53 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Orville Bowen. Marc Anthonissen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Driscoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bektaş Veli Tokuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Loozen in the 59th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Russell Garrett. SeaForD's Anselmo Hernando was substituted for Harold Loozen. Russell Garrett kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Anselmo Hernando might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bektaş Veli Tokuz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Hernando ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Anselmo Hernando made a precise shot to the right of Bektaş Veli Tokuz. Markham FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 87 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Terrell Zuniga. A collision led to Markham FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Terrell Zuniga hit a great ball. Isto Holttinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Anthonissen having to interfere.
