After a defensive mix-up in Stowe City's zone, Ward Doran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaj Helström came out of the goal and Ward Doran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Stowe City getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Fraser Legzdins hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Stowe City's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Brownell came free, but Kaj Helström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niles Crane. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şanver İpek in the 34th minute of play forced Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stowe City were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Golden Hills's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Johnathan Haynes took the corner.
