Marc Anthonissen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isto Holttinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13thth minute of the game Wesley Driscoll who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SeaForD's Marc Anthonissen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, one of SeaForD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SeaForD. 29 minutes into the match, SeaForD's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Driscoll came free, but Marc Anthonissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bektaş Veli Tokuz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Loozen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Markham FC's Daren Kelley quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leon Rudolph, made in the 40th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, SeaForD's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Driscoll came free, but Marc Anthonissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SeaForD booed when Markham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orville Bowen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isto Holttinen might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marc Anthonissen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isto Holttinen ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

SeaForD made a substitution. Mason Garland replaced Salvador Calcagnini. 55 minutes into the match, SeaForD's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Urtzi came free, but Marc Anthonissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Harold Loozen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bektaş Veli Tokuz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Markham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SeaForD the free kick. Terrell Zuniga kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Markham FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SeaForD had won, even though Markham FC had held more of the ball.
