Robrecht Scheppers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Fred Kirkpatrick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zamalek FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 23rd minute, Reese Otto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Bican Şeref put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rhys Dimmock. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rhys Dimmock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rhys Dimmock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bican Şeref's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when Moorefield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kemal Bakırhan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
