After some careless play in the empanadas defense, Brandon Worthington kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Baptista. FC Europa were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after empanadas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benedito Leite took the corner. After 22 played minutes empanadas got a freekick which was hit by Denver Huang. In the 24th minute, Benedito Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Europa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 28th minute of the match FC Europa got a corner. empanadas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benedito Leite ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benedito Leite made a great header on FC Europa's corner, it was just that empanadas's Humberto Baptista managed to reach the ball for a save. Octavio Garcia hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Brandon Worthington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Europa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benedito Leite in the 32nd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Zeledon Ritchie heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Humberto Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon Worthington, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. empanadas's Humberto Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Long Yuan Ran in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of empanadas booed when FC Europa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Parnell didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavio Garcia made a kick off. Jonatan Orlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Fundby in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Benedito Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to empanadas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rhett Vazquez hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Europa's Brandon Worthington slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Humberto Baptista. That made the score 0-4 after 61 minutes of play. Conrad Barrera hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Europa's goalkeeper Jonatan Orlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, FC Europa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrad Barrera to maneuver through the defense. In the 70thth minute of the game Brandon Worthington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but empanadas's Humberto Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. empanadas's Humberto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save empanadas from getting a goal against them. The corner went over the outstretched arms of empanadas's goalie and right to Qi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. empanadas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Royce Bachman might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Orlin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Royce Bachman ran back to his position shaking his head. Humberto Baptista came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Europa's Brandon Worthington. But to his dismay, Brandon Worthington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 85 minutes into the match, empanadas's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Worthington came free, but Humberto Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Baptista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandon Worthington's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, empanadas's goalkeeper Humberto Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brandon Worthington. After 91 played minutes FC Europa got a freekick which was hit by Rey Underwood. 95 minutes into the match, FC Europa's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Garcia came free, but Jonatan Orlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over FC Europa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than empanadas throughout the match.
