Cesar Donio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Blackburn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Donio came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Markham FC's Hank Blackburn. But to his dismay, Hank Blackburn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 29th minute, Antonio Corley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bektaş Veli Tokuz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Leroy Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Veli Tokuz having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, San Antonio HotSPURS's Antonio Corley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bektaş Veli Tokuz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Markham FC's Isto Holttinen in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Antonio HotSPURS's goalie prevented a goal. Cesar Donio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isto Holttinen in the 40th minute of the match. Stewart Pritchard hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 73rd minute Isto Holttinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Donio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bektaş Veli Tokuz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonso Snider, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
