The empanadas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Baptista should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the match, empanadas's goalkeeper Humberto Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Haynes. empanadas's Humberto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save empanadas from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Nils-Emil Tunström took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Humberto Baptista to make any attempt to save it. 21 minutes into the match, empanadas's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Bingham came free, but Humberto Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Lazaro Connor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stowe City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ward Neal in the 30th minute. The corner led Stowe City's Ward Neal to fire away a dangerous shot which Humberto Baptista despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Stroh in the 32nd minute of play forced empanadas's goalkeeper Humberto Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Stroh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Stroh in the 34th minute of play forced empanadas's goalkeeper Humberto Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stowe City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Royce Bachman was slow to take the kick. During this time empanadas's players had a chance to rest. empanadas's Royce Bachman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kaj Helström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, empanadas's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuel Stroh came free, but Humberto Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Garcia's late challenge caught a Stowe City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Stowe City booed when empanadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Emmanuel Stroh made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Emmanuel Stroh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stowe City were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after empanadas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ward Neal took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niles Crane in the 59th minute of play forced empanadas's goalkeeper Humberto Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
