The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Timothy MacFarland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 9 minutes into the game, University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timothy MacFarland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 11 minutes into the game, Dale Kirkpatrick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Timothy MacFarland. Dale Kirkpatrick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Robby Crowe hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. From close distance Dale Kirkpatrick pressed in the 4-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 19 minutes into the game. In the 25th minute Dale Kirkpatrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timothy MacFarland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Dale Kirkpatrick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Timothy MacFarland. Dale Kirkpatrick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Carson Seals hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Dale Kirkpatrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. University of Rochester's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Kirkpatrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carson Seals made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by University of Rochester's Tyrell Pitts. The University of Rochester fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Toby Peters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Drew Casey having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dale Kirkpatrick was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Dale Kirkpatrick made a precise shot to the right of Timothy MacFarland. Nomads Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 56 minutes into the game, Dale Kirkpatrick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Timothy MacFarland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute, Dale Kirkpatrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timothy MacFarland was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. When Pascal Hills fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nomads Football Club's protests and gave Pascal Hills a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Nomads Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Hills to maneuver through the defense. Timothy MacFarland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Kirkpatrick in the 67th minute of play. When Maxwell Calcagnini came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the University of Rochester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxwell Calcagnini couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timothy MacFarland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timothy MacFarland. Nomads Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Kirkpatrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. Timothy MacFarland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Kirkpatrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th match minute, Nomads Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Hills to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timothy MacFarland. Nomads Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Kirkpatrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. The supporters of Nomads Football Club booed when University of Rochester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryon Little didn't get a good kick on the ball. University of Rochester's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
