Bryant Miles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dale Kirkpatrick's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Malbec in the 5th minute of play. If Don Malbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Drew Casey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Malbec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mitchell Curry made in the 11th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kaja Jamak. In the 12th minute, Don Malbec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charlotte FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Kirkpatrick. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes Charlotte FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Babbis Moisakos who took care of the corner kick. Babbis Moisakos made a great header on University of Rochester's corner, it was just that Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles managed to reach the ball for a save. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Malbec in the 21st minute of play. Charlotte FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Dale Kirkpatrick scored to the left of an out of position Bryant Miles, making the score, 1-1. Don Malbec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Drew Casey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Don Malbec might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Drew Casey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Malbec ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnaldo Lop made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Charlotte FC's Mitchell Curry. In the 36th play minute Dale Kirkpatrick came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bryant Miles. 2-1. With 39 minutes on the clock, Bryon Little commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 39th minute, one of University of Rochester:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for University of Rochester. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Charlotte FC. Kaja Jamak stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Drew Casey. 2-2. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Charlotte FC from getting a goal against them. Drew Casey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Malbec, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Malbec made a kick off. Parker English could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Drew Casey made a huge save. Drew Casey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Parker English in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Dale Kirkpatrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bryant Miles was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Bryant Miles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Kirkpatrick in the 67th minute of the match. University of Rochester's Drew Casey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Malbec in the 69th minute of play. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Malbec in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dale Kirkpatrick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bryant Miles was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The supporters of University of Rochester booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Babbis Moisakos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bryant Miles skillfully saved the ball. Charlotte FC's Mitchell Curry quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnaldo Lop, made in the 95th minute of the game. University of Rochester's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
