In the 18th minute, Dale Kirkpatrick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Manuel Rush cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Drew Casey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rick Fuentes in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Drew Casey saved University of Rochester from getting behind. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind University of Rochester's goalkeeper Drew Casey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, FC SLAVIA FL's Rick Fuentes made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Rush who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Drew Casey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dale Kirkpatrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dale Kirkpatrick came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the University of Rochester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Kirkpatrick couldn't finish the play.
