After 11 played minutes University of Rochester got a freekick which was hit by Babbis Moisakos. When Shelton Flanagan came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the The Team FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shelton Flanagan couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Bryon Little was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. University of Rochester's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Team FC the free kick. Bryon Little hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Shelton Flanagan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Drew Casey having to make a save. Drew Casey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otis Short, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 30 minutes into the match, The Team FC's goalkeeper Aníbal Lorenzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Kirkpatrick. Babbis Moisakos charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Babbis Moisakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Babbis Moisakos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half The Team FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cao Shi Yi to make the kick off. The Team FC's Shelton Flanagan got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Cao Shi Yi rounded University of Rochester's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. After 69 minutes, Shelton Flanagan made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. University of Rochester's Drew Casey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Team FC's Grant Foote was substituted for Raul Bowen. University of Rochester's Drew Casey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shelton Flanagan in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's Dale Kirkpatrick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aníbal Lorenzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Flanagan in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Cao Shi Yi notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of University of Rochester's Drew Casey. Drew Casey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernesto Cao Xiao kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Flanagan in the 93rd minute of play. After 97 minutes of play, The Team FC's Shelton Flanagan made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drew Casey was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Team FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
